Peer Academics charges authors nothing. There are no article processing charges (APCs), no submission fees, and no publication fees of any kind.
Nothing is charged at any stage of the process, and in particular nothing is charged for:
- submitting a manuscript, or resubmitting one after revision;
- peer review, editorial handling, copyediting, or typesetting;
- publication itself, whatever the length of the accepted article;
- color figures, additional figures, extra pages, or supplementary files;
- making the published article open access, which is the only way this journal publishes.
Because authors are charged nothing, Peer Academics operates no waiver, discount, or hardship scheme, and it does not ask where you work or who funds you in order to decide what you would pay. There is nothing to waive and nothing to apply for. If you hold a grant with funds set aside for publication charges, those funds are not needed here.
The costs of running the journal — hosting, the journal system, and editorial administration — are borne by the Publisher, Asociația Societatea Studenților din Uniunea Europeană (EUSS), a Romanian non-profit association. No payment from an author, an institution, or a funder buys, accelerates, or influences a decision at any point. Editorial decisions are taken by an editor on the advice of independent reviewers, as described in the Author Guidelines.
Readers are charged nothing either: every article is free to read from the moment it is published, with no subscription and no paywall.
If anyone asks you for a payment in connection with a submission to Peer Academics, or invoices you in the journal's name, do not pay it. Report it to [email protected].
Should this policy ever change, the change would apply only to manuscripts submitted after it was published on this page. It would never be applied to a manuscript already under review or already accepted.
