Reviewing for Peer Academics is unpaid. The journal charges no article processing or submission fees, so there are no fees to discount in exchange for review. What the journal can do is put your work on record, accurately and with your consent. This page states what that amounts to, and what it does not.
The annual list of reviewers
At the end of each year the journal intends to publish a list thanking the people who reviewed for it during that year. Inclusion is by opt-in consent only. You are asked whether you agree to be listed and which details may appear — normally name, affiliation, and country. If you do not answer, you are not listed, and consent covers one list only. You may withdraw it at any time by writing to [email protected], and your name will be removed from the online page. The list names reviewers only; it never indicates which manuscripts you handled or what you recommended.
Confirmation of review activity
On request, the Editorial Office will issue a signed letter confirming that you have reviewed for Peer Academics, stating the number of completed reviews and the period they fall in. Use it for a promotion file, an annual report, or a funding application: write to [email protected] and say to whom it should be addressed. The letter never names the manuscripts you reviewed; confidentiality does not lapse for recognition purposes. Your record of completed reviews is also visible in your profile in the journal system.
What the journal does not offer
- No third-party credit service. Peer Academics has no partnership or integration with any reviewer recognition or review-credit platform, and does not send records of your reviewing to any external service. You may record your reviewing elsewhere yourself, using a confirmation letter, provided you disclose nothing about the manuscripts.
- No payment, no editorial advantage. Reviewers are not paid, and reviewing gives your own submissions no priority, no lighter review, and no favorable treatment of any kind.
